Viktig informasjon fra FIVB, august 2011 

Her er kopi av FIVBs mail, som er undertegnet av Angleo Squeo, ansvalig direktør for sandvolleyball i FIVB:

"The present is to inform that it has come to our attention that a company not endorsed by USAV operating in the United States may be soliciting FIVB athletes to participate in Beach Volleyball events. These non-authorized Beach Volleyball events are operated by Championship Volleyball, Inc., of Phoenix, Arizona.

Kindly take note that athletes participating to any non-authorized events/tournaments will have their membership withdrawn until further notice from all the FIVB Intercontinental, Continental and National Beach Volleyball and Volleyball event/tournament. This decision will be implemented with immediate effect.

Please, be aware that some of the athletes that may be contacted by Championship Volleyball, Inc., may be registered only with your NF and have no FIVB registration number. Still, these athletes risk to be disqualified for all FIVB, Continental and National Beach Volleyball and Volleyball tournaments/events.

We also request your National Federation to inform immediately the athletes concerned of the above FIVB decision.

On this occasion, we would like to inform your athletes that it is their sole responsibility to verify through their National Federation or/and the hosting National Federation of the event or/and with the FIVB or/and the respective Continental Confederation if the event in question is sanctioned and authorized by the governing body concerned before participating in any Beach Volleyball competition."
